Jesus
brings order to chaos and restoration to brokenness. He is SUPREME
in our lives.
Colossians
1:11-14 NASB (11) strengthened with all
power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness
and patience; joyously (12) giving
thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the
saints in Light. (13) For
He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of
His beloved Son, (14) in
whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
In
Christ we are redeemed, changed, and made heirs to God. Paul wanted us to know that Christ is supreme. Knowing that Christ is supreme should change
how we approach things in our everyday lives.
We do not need to lean on anything else.
We
are redeemed. Jesus sets us free from
captivity to sin by paying our ransom.
We
are changed. Jesus sets our lives on a
different course, or direction.
We
are heirs. Jesus qualifies us to receive
an inheritance as a child of God.
NOW
THAT IS WHAT I CALL SUPREME
