This is lesson two of a five part series about
experiencing forgiveness and restoration.
Noah, Abraham, Moses, Solomon and Peter all have
something in common.
They all made seemingly unimportant decisions
or SUDs,
which ended up allowing sin into their lives.
If you have been a Christian for any length of time,
you probably can go ahead and add your name to the list, because you have not
kept your SUD’s in the bucket.

Samuel 11:3-5 KJVR
(3) And David sent and
inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of
Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
(4) And David sent
messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for
she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.
(5) And the woman
conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.
David got out of his
routine. He slept all day and awoke in
the evening. He was by himself so no one
knew what he was doing.
Lust is deceiving. James tells us that we are drawn away by our
own lusts and when we act of them the result is sin and un-repented sin brings
death.
David wanted leisure
and idleness. How many times have
leisure and idleness caused you problems?
We say, just one drink, just one visit, just one purchase. We make excuses, everybody does it. We say, I can stop when I want to.
Sin will take you farther
then you wanted to go. Sin will keep you
longer then you wanted to stay. Sin will
cost you more than you ever wanted to pay.
Seemingly unimportant
decisions or SUDs

Your Suds in the Bucket
