Fee, Fi, Fo Fum (Lesson 1)

Today is lesson one of a five part series about increasing our faith by learning to face our Giants.

1 Samuel 17:4-7 NASB
(4)  Then a champion came out from the armies of the Philistines named Goliath, from Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

(5)  He had a bronze helmet on his head, and he was clothed with scale-armor which weighed five thousand shekels of bronze.
(6)  He also had bronze greaves on his legs and a bronze javelin slung between his shoulders.

(7)  The shaft of his spear was like a weaver's beam, and the head of his spear weighed six hundred shekels of iron; his shield-carrier also walked before him.

Goliath was certainly a sight to see.  He struck fear in all who would stand to oppose him.  It is believed that he was 10 feet tall.  When dressed in all his armor it is believed he weighed over 900 lbs.  I am made to believe that no one wanted to face this giant.
Our Giants come in the form of daily struggles.  Health issues, Financial concerns, Grief, Relationships, Depression, Addiction, Employment concerns, and Loneliness.  These are all types of personal giants that we may face.

What one or two personal giants seem to be battling you at the present?  How would you rank your success in dealing with these giants?
                                                                                                  i.      Personal giants regularly stay with me.

ii.      I have identified my personal giants.

iii.      I am growing as a giant slayer.

iv.      I am slaying my giants.

Who gives us victory over our personal giant?

Answer

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengths me.
